The Irish Stem Cell Foundation is an independent, not-for-profit organisation whose primary objective is to educate about stem cells, their basic biology and the research and therapies using them.
How can you get involved?
- Your greatest asset is to simply understand the issue. You are then well prepared to be a voice of clarity around this often misunderstood issue.
- Share what you know with others and encourage friends to make stem cell research an important consideration when voting for their elected officials. Also, add a link to your personal website.
- If you are a teacher or lecturer, why not spend a class going through the links on our public information page with your class?
- If you are a journalist make sure your story is scientifically and medically accurate – we can even check for you through our media page.
- Know how to distinguish between fact and fiction when it comes to stem cells – share the International Society For Stem Cell Research 'myth bursting fact' sheet.
- Join our Facebook discussion forum and follow the latest Foundation developments on Twitter.
- Send your comments and suggestions to our email stemcell@ireland.com
Feel free to tell us your stories about stem cells on our open discussion forum on Facebook and follow all major ISCF stories on Twitter.
