Formation of the Irish Stem Cell Foundation

The Irish Stem Cell Foundation (ISCF) will be officially lauched Friday 23rd October 2009.

ISCF is an independent not-for-profit organisation and is loosely based on the New York Stem Cell Foundation.

It will initially focus on education outreach programs, hoping to address the growing problem of bogus stem cell scams being offered to Irish patients over the internet. The Foundation will also assist the development of Irish policy and legislature in this area of medicine and science, ensuring Ireland is informed.

The Foundation seeks to work in collaboration with other Irish associations, networks or trusts sharing our goals to promoting an awareness of stem cell science and medicine. All interested parties are encouraged to contact us.

The website and twitter accounts will go live 23rd October at the launch of the foundation.
